Elisha Cuthbert, Captivity 2007 Drawing I am Chilo, a Merit Pass postgraduate student from the renowned
University of Nottingham (UK), who has taken up numerous paid-work
and voluntary roles from an early age. I have spent four years
with engineering, renewable energy and architecture disciplines, while
aquiring other skills in sales, team-working, creative, quantitative-analysis
and leadership skills. On this site my primary focus is on my artistic
skills and by collaborating with other creative intellectuals , I aim to find
ways to improve my skills.
Music Auditorium Space Theater Render Educational BackgroundI have completed a BSc (Hons) Architecture and Environmental Design
and an MSc Renewable Energy and Architecture degree. Through them
I have done projects that deal with building services, design, sustainability,
costs and of course renewable energy, such as in my 15,000word
dissertation based on the UK code for sustainable homes to be fully
implemented by 2016. Furthermore in a group of 4, we designed and
analysed a 5 storey, Centre for Sustainable Energy Technologies
in Alice Springs (Austratia), in order to meet low or zero carbon (LZC)
targets. The site analysis and the final autoCAD drawings where done
collectively, while I wrote the 3,000word report on the fan assisted
natural ventilation strategy. This required the analysis of: ground cooling
capabilities using Energy Plus; displacement air circulation (using CFD
-Fluent v6) and analysis on a 3D model placed in site specific climatic
conditions (using Ecotect). Hence I ended up writing about a crucial
aspect of the daily operation of the building. Ultimately we produced a
sound final 45 minute power-point presentation, with over 30 slides.
2nd Graduation Photo: MSc Renewable Energy and Architecture: Merit Pass Creative and Extra-Curricular Interestes Among many extra curricular interestes in sports, creativity and
services, such as in volleyball, art club and cashier respectively, I enjoyed
being the swim team captain and being effective in teams. One of my
fund memories involves organising a student-run marketing campaign for
a careers fair, where I was a team leader of 7 colleagues. in one of the
5 teams. Over 5,000 students registered and my team won the prize for
being the most productive. Moreover I have worked on conservation
society projects, which included constructing a sustainable 150m long
woodland footpath for wheelchair access at Portland College. This took
69 volunteers, 1,632 hours to complete. I was part of the initial team of 14,
involved in the planning. Portland College was especially desinged for
children with disabilities, hence I was an amazing previladge to see the
students , even those on wheelchairs, gain access to the animal through
the woodland path we created.
